I hope through these blogs you find the peace and encouragement that can be found in Christ. Jesus has turned my world right side up (still lots of molding to be done :)) and my prayer is that I am just a vessel for the Holy Spirit to do what He wills through me!)
I get discouraged just like you and wonder what God’s will is for my life like everyone does at times. I don’t understand certain situations and I feel like I don’t have what it takes.
Well, the truth is I don’t have what it takes but God through me does and He desires intimacy!
I titled this blog “Soul Cries Out”, because it’s good for us to give God everything, including our unstable emotions and unrealistic expectations in life.
Brokenness before God creates a great foundation for Him to build on.
Psalm 30:1-2: “I will exalt you, LORD, because You have lifted me up and have not allowed my enemies to triumph over me. LORD my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me. LORD, You brought me up from Sheol; You spared me from among those going down to the Pit.”
This Scripture is powerful and telling of the character of our creator.
Our IMMEDIATE response to God should be lifting Him up, exalting Him, placing Him in His rightful place, because He has protected us from our enemies. You know who our enemy is?
Our enemy is sin, and satan uses every avenue to exploit our sin and push us away from God.
Oh this is good…. Jesus conquered sin and death, no longer do we have to worry about the enemy because he has been taken care of.
Friend, do you believe Jesus is the Son of God? Does your life line up with this belief? Oh praise our Holy God for giving us a way to Him!
The other expression of worship we see here is to cry out for help because our God is still in the healing and filling business.
What are you going through right now in this moment and feel as though you need to cry out to God but can’t?
Listen friend…. You are a wonderful creation made by a wonderful creator. God doesn’t make mistakes.
He may allow things to happen, but you can bet He will turn it into our good and for His glory to those who love Him.
So you’re wondering, “how do I cry out to God?”
- Sit down in a quiet place
- Clear your mind
- Open up your Bible to Psalm 30:1-2 or Psalm 18:6
- Grab a notebook or a piece of paper
- Express your thoughts through writing
- Watch His promise be fulfilled
God wants to be intimate with you. He knows your thoughts, He understands your emotions, He intentionally pursues you.
Why not give Him everything and allow Him to orchestrate your paths? This will be the hardest path you choose in life; however, it is definitely the most fulfilling now and eternity.
Where are you going when you die?
To you, who is Jesus?
Do you believe Jesus came from heaven, died, was buried, and came alive after He was dead?
If you don’t, would you want to make that decision now?
All you have to do is turn away from your old life and believe in Jesus as the only Son of God.
